When talking about how to use tape measure, many people will laugh, thinking it`s too easy. However, the usage for tape measure is not that simply.

Basically hooks are classified into 2 types. One is fixed another is flexible.

All of our tape measures are made into flexible hook, as it is more adaptable and meets most users` using habits.

If you push the tape out to press against the wall (or any of your measuring object), the hook will move back along with loops, the movement`s distance is exactly equal to the thickness of hook.

Besides, flexible hook will be more approached to the actual size no matter take measurement through holding end over the edge of work or pressing against the work.

Certainly, the accuracy of Steel Tape Measure is with a limitation. It is a kind of rough measuring tool, the measuring length longer, the deviation of accuracy greater. In addition, deviation depends on the measuring method as well, it largely depends on the tightness and straightness of the measuring object.

Secondly, the deviation between different tape measures is different. While in measuring procedure, it`s better to use tape measures in same brand. If you have strict requirement for the accuracy, it is necessary to check all tape measures as much as possible to avoid batch scrap or rework of manufactured products.

Lastly, to protect the tape being damaged, do not fold the tape to 90 degree no matter from vertical or horizon.
